Very disappointing

Dare was not pregnant at the ultrasound.  She reabsorbed at least two puppies.  Very heartbreaking an emotional roller coaster.  Looking like we will try again in August 2016 but not sure who will be the sire.

Didn't realize

I didn't realize when I found out that Dare wasn't pregnant how disappointed I would be.  I was so nervous about the whole thing, that when I found out it didn't work, it hit me really hard.  I really want a puppy from Dare as she is one of the best dogs all around temperament and personality I have ever had.  At this point I am not sure I could do the whole thing over again.  But I am not sure how I can't try again as I really want a Dare puppy now more than ever.  :(

Waiting, waiting and more waiting

Seems like all I do is wait.  Dare was bred to Eiko on March 11 and 12 and I still don't know if it worked.
I will know Wednesday 8-Apr but it is driving me nuts.  She is keeping it a secret just like her mother did.

1st repro visit

Dare  had her first repro visit today at Country Companion Animal Hospital in Morgantown
http://www.countrycompanionanimalhospital.com/Reproduction.html

She checked out good, and was almost 100% cornified but her progesterone level is still baseline at 0.5.
We will be going back Wednesday to see if it is rising.
Anybody reading this keep your fingers crossed, hopefully she will be ready next week.

Be My Valentine

It is Valentine's Day and we are still waiting for Dare's big day to arrive with her boyfriend.

The waiting begins

So it is February 2nd and the waiting for Dare to come into season has officially begun.  The last time she started on Feb 14th so unless she starts early she will probably be coming in around that day.  And then it will be more waiting and more waiting and more waiting.

Maybe I will try again

I was reading the blogs from when Spy was having the puppies and it was fun reading and looking at the pictures.  I know no one else reads my blog but at least I will have something to help me remember some of the fun stuff that happens.  In about a month I will be doing it again with Dare and again it will be a new experience as the sire is in CA.  I will be using a repro vet for this experience and I plan on ultra sounding her because I don' want to wait till day 58 to know if she has puppies or not.
